Vintage Dark Blue Wide Brim Hat, Straw with Big Flower 。This hat typifies the fashions of the 1960s\'. The tall, cylindrical shaped crown is slightly taller at one side, and is surrounded by a wide navy grosgrain band which is edged at the top in shiny vinyl, and ends in a bow at one side. The brim is short and upturned. A beautiful hat that does not go out of style! The hat wearing requirement from previous decades was drastically subsiding in the 1960s. Most dressy hats in the 1960s were worn by women who embraced the traditional etiquette rules of wearing hats to match the occasion. Hat styles in the 1960s mimicked hairstyles: large, bouffant, round shaped, oversized cloche hats that stood up tall on the head. There is no designer label, indicating it was a custom-made creation. This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, furs, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age. Mannequin not for sale.
